biography..

Hanna was born in a secret village hidden somewhere in the Ruby Sea. Descended from a long line of gifted healers, the young Raen knew it would one day be her task to lead her village and continue to protect it from the ravages of the outside world. She spent the first years of her life traveling to nearby towns and cities, such as Reunion and Kugane, with Kaito, her father on his boat, learning the arts of weaving and gardening from her mother, and studying her healing magic.During her sixth summer, the Garlean Empire attacked their village in the dead of night. Her father ran to defend his people while Hanna's mother took her and ran to hide outside the village. A group of soldiers found them. While her mother tried to fight them off, there was an explosion nearby that knocked the young girl unconscious. A passing ship from Kugane saw the smoke and diverted its course to investigate. Hanna was found, barely clinging to life, and brought back to the city. When she woke, she couldn't remember anything more than her own name.After her injuries were healed, Hanna was sent to live with an old friend of her father's. She stayed with him for two years until she mysteriously vanished. Hanna had stowed away on a ship bound for Eorzea. She hid in a crate to avoid being discovered by the ship's crew. When they docked, the crate was sent onto a band of mercenaries working out of Thanalan. A Hyur woman, by the name of Ceana, took pity on the weakened girl and nursed her back to health. Raising the young girl as her own, Hanna's foster mother taught her how to heal wounds, mend armor and clothing, and everything she knew about life.At the age of sixteen, Hanna traveled to Gridania to study with the Conjurer's Guild. Her magic grew as she aged, and it was discovered that her healing abilities surpassed many of the others studying there. At the insistence of the Padjal, Hanna underwent more trials to complete her training. Upon passing these trials and receiving the blessings of the elementals, Hanna was granted a white mage soul stone.In the years following, Hanna traveled as a wandering healer, lending her aid when and where she could. Eventually, she found herself in Ishgard, at the height of the Dragonsong War. Her talent for magic caught the attention of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Upon joining the Scions, Hanna learned about the powers of the Echo and that she was one of the few that possessed the gift. For the next several years, Hanna spent her time working with the Scions to bring peace to the world.When the threat of the Final Days came, Hanna lent her aid healing those affected by the tragedies the events brought. When the threat was quelled, she left her work with the Scions and retired from adventuring. A year ago, she met and married the love of her life: a Viera named Lemon. When they aren't at their home in Ishgard or the Mist, the two now spend their time traveling to learn about new places and cultures around the world.After all... an adventurer's tale is never truly ended...

    TRAVELER..     Hanna has been traveling since she was young. She has a very keen interest in learning about different parts of the world, their cultures, and the people that live there. She is always willing to listen to the tales of fellow adventurers... if they can get a word in edgewise.    HEALING..     An accomplished healer in her own right, Hanna is always willing to lend her healing services, magical or otherwise, to those in need. While conjury and magic are her preferred tools for curing ills and injuries, she is proficient at herbal remedies for those who prefer those methods.    A GOOD DRINK..     There are few things that can bring two strangers together better than a conversation over a good drink. At least, that's Hanna's opinion. Whether you are seeking something warm and comforting, cold and refreshing, intoxicating or not... Hanna will be happy to make you a drink and share one with you. As long as there is conversation to be had and tales to be exchanged.

    SCARS..     Upon closer inspection, the pattern of faded scars can be seen scattered across most of her body. While she does nothing to hide them, they indicate that there is more to this woman than she will freely show. After all... not every scar is visible.    ECHOES OF THE PAST ..     A rare gift. The Blessing of Hydaelyn. Ever since she was young, she knew there was something... strange going on with her. She could understand things that others were saying, even if she didn't know their language. She could always see traces of hidden illness and injury in the aether of her patients, but... she could never understand how until she learned of the Echo and the gifts it had given her.    LIKE THE WIND..     Those with the ability to see aether will notice that the wind seems to always swirl around Hanna, even if she is not meaning to channel it. When her own emotions rise, so do the currents blowing around her. Even those without aethersight will notice it. With her own aether being aspected towards the elements of nature, wind and water and earth, she has a hard time casting spells from other elements.
